Scrap Journal: Stamp and Paint

I enjoy making scrap journals because it helps me create rendering and sketch studies for many of my future artwork and crafts. Besides that, I get to test some craft supplies — paper, punches, tapes, ink, etc. — that have been lurking in my stash.

Scrap journaling is also a good way to reuse and recycle some old books/notebooks and bits and pieces of paper and what-have-you’s. To make this scrap journal, I used an old ADB planner (a gift from a friend who works at the Asian Development Bank in Manila), some gesso and a few art materials.

SUPPLIES

  • old/used office planner
  • colored index cards (green, yellow, orange)
  • acrylic gesso (white)
  • watercolor paper (Canson)
  • watercolor pencils (Faber-Castell)
  • fiber tip brown pen (Maped)
  • fine tip black pen (Uni)
  • clear stamp: flower (Love Birds set by We R Memory Keepers)
  • dye ink (orange)
  • washi tapes (plaid, green)
